More than a Farm. A Destination.

Barton Orchards is a 180-acre working farm and orchard with a tap room, market, bakery, and event space, that has been in the Barton family for three generations. We are known as Hudson Valley’s premier Pick Your Own, a magical destination located about an hour north of New York City.

While you’re here, visit our farm animals, concessions, dog park, and playgrounds. The Haunted House, Fun Park with Mega Slide, Corn Maze, and Hayrides are experiences offered during our fall festivals and are fun for everyone.

The farm is also the perfect setting for hosting large corporate events and private functions inside our beautiful event spaces.

The farm is open seasonally with a wide variety of festivals, events, and live music, so please be sure to check out our Event Calendar for details.

Winner of the Family Entertainment Award of Distinction in the 2022 Dutchess Tourism Awards of Distinction competition.

The Barton Family is excited to continue growing the traditions started here and to provide the community with a memorable farm experience.

The Barton Story

Barton Orchards was a wholesale apple farm started by Bruce and Rose Barton in the late seventies. The farm quickly became a family affair and grew to include the Apple Core, our Noxon Road farm stand. In the early 90s, we became one of the first pick-your-own farms in the region to adjust to the rapidly evolving economic forces in the industry and better meet the needs of the customer. The farm is now owned by Peter Barton, their son, and has become one of the most popular agritourism destinations in the Tri-State area. We are thankful for the dedication and support of our customers. Nothing makes us happier when our customers grow up, start families of their own, and now bring their children here. “Growing Family Traditions” is what we are all about.

“It’s a growing family tradition. Those three words are what we’ve become and what we’re all about.”
-Peter Barton
